GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: “Do you deliver every image you shoot over the course of the day?”
A: No we do not, and for good reason. The shots we do not deliver are typically shots where you or any of your guests are making expressions that are uncharacteristic or unflattering. What we do is select the images with the best expressions from each series and archive the rest.
Q: “Does your studio provide any videography services?”
A: Yes. We can shoot photography, videography, or both. We also now produce the popular short trailers that are popular at the moment
Q: “Have you ever shot at our venue before?”
A: We have shot at many of venues across Long Island and Queens as well as Brooklyn and Manhattan so there is a very good chance that we have. If we have not however we will be sure to perform a thorough walk through with you prior to your wedding day so we can determine the best areas to get the best shots as well as make contingency plans in case of inclement weather .
Q: “Do you shoot destination weddings and events?
A: While Michael Charles Photography is based out of Nassau County New York, we serve clients all around the world. Our destination photography packages are very simply our regular packages plus the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations if necessary.
Q: “Which Photographer will be shooting my wedding?”
A: The photographer you meet with will be the photographer for your event or for your engagement session and wedding. Don’t worry, we’re not going to have some random photographer show up.
Q: “Do you provide partial day coverage?”
A: We do provide partial day coverage for clients on a limited budget. When contacting us let us know your comfort price range, expectations, and the length of the event. We will try our best to tailor a package for your situation.
Q: “Does you shoot individual portraits, family portraits or other types of photography?”
A: Yes we do. We can come to you or you can meet us at one of three partner studios on long Island and Queens based on what equipment is needed for the shoot
Q: “My venue is really dark at times. How does you handle these situations?”
A: We have shot in the darkest of shadowy dark churches and reception halls so no need to worry ever! If the venue allows, we can set up additional lighting to ensure we get bright crisp pictures. Some houses of worship simply do not allow for any type of flash photography; and for that reason, we can shoot on full frame camera’s with superb lowlight performance and L series lenses with low 2.8 apertures
Q: “What happens if our event go over the contracted amount of time?”
A: We understand that not everything goes as planned. We will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to extend. If you would like us to stay, we will charge the rates specified in your contract rounded to the closest half hour.
Q: “What type of camera/photography equipment do you use?”
A: That is fully dependent on the shoot. We shoot with Canon and Sony and use many lenses based on lighting.
Q: “How do I reserve you for my date?”
A: All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and deposit
